As for the Black Falcon, it finds itself once more in difficulties in the middle of a storm.The Caribbean Demon series, created by the prolific Jean-Michel Charlier, appeared in Pilote magazine from its inception in 1959, along with his two other flagship series, Astérix et Obélix and Tanguy et Laverdure.Talking about the pirate series in an interview he gave in 1978, Hubinon said: “I created this comic strip above all for the ships. Old ships are fascinating things! The difficulty lies in getting the direction of the sails right; that always worries me” (Les Cahiers de la Bande Dessinée, n°35).
