When we think of Frank Pé, we think of Broussaille’s waking dream in Journal Spirou, and that first cult album Les Baleines publiques (Public Whales). But we also think of ZOO, published by Dupuis in the Aire Libre col-lection from 1994 onwards – three albums in the space of 13 years, featuring animals of every variety, and where we see Frank at the very top of his game. Frank’s bestiary, with its truer-than-life faun, guarantees that his name will be remembered by posterity. Here, we see the cover illustration for La Visite – a hardback album comprising 120 pages, published with a dust jacket by Dupuis/Champaka in 2009. A (signed) full-colour silk-screen version was also made.
