Hub won a competition in 1992 that gave him the opportunity to work on Luc Besson's film Le Cinquième Élément (The Fifth Element) alongside comics writers Mœbius and Jean-Claude Mézières. After a period in advertising, video games and TV, Hub launched himself into the world of cartoons, producing the text and illustrations for Okko - the story of a ronin who heads a small group of demon hunters in a fantastical medieval Japan. The story is set in the chaotic Empire of Pajan, where warring clans in pursuit of power have been vying with one another for decades. Okko and his companions set out to assist Tikku, a young fisherman searching for his sister, who has been captured by pirates. The quest is one that will see them embarked on an adventure spanning ten volumes, all masterfully executed by Hub. Okko is published by Éditions Delcourt.

This exhibition is being held in collaboration with Bruno Graff Éditions.

To mark the occasion, on Thursday 8 June from 4.00 to 6.00pm, Hub will be signing copies of Okko in a deluxe complete edition published by Bruno Graff Éditions. Space will be limited, so please book your place by emailing - Brunograff@hotmail.com.
