Although he is a very private artist, his images – thickly outlined, in colour and also in black and white – regularly appear in books and press publications.
The exhibition being mounted by Huberty & Breyne gallery celebrates the thirty-year career of one of the most talented illustrators of his generation.
Featuring youthful illustrations, press drawings, plates from each of his albums, promotional materials, large-format paintings and sculpted wooden panels, this overview in one hundred images offers a fresh perspective on Jean-Claude Götting’s graphic universe and its quiet elegance.
