Au bout là-bas...
In Pharoewère, her second comic album, Margaux Meissonnier takes us to a world where time and space remain fluid, inviting us to follow the fortunes of characters apparently defined by their obsessions alone.
Margaux Meissonnier’s palette is soft, and her pencil strokes are firm and exaggerated, hovering between purity and abstraction, the better, perhaps, to reflect her Beckettian-style dialogues. With this new album – which follows Erstein Costis (Éditions Magnani, 2020) – she searches for a new means of expression, in terms of both what she wants to say and the form in which she chooses to say it. On 14 June, viewers are invited to attend the launch of “Au bout là-bas”, the first Mycélium exhibition dedicated to Margaux Meissonnier’s work.
