Presentation

Gérard Lauzier’s humour never fails to hit home and what a great pleasure it is to dive back into his universe. This unparalleled humorist has exploded all our preconceptions about adult comics, which in his hands are as literary as they are graphic – and fiercely acerbic. With Lauzier, everyone gets hauled over the coals – the dynamic young cadres of the 80s, machos, feminists.
His humour serves today as a breath of fresh air.
Huberty & Breyne Gallery is delighted to be offering up a selection of plates and illustrations from Gérard Lauzier’s best-known albums such as Un certain malaise, Lili Fatale, Chroniques de l’Ile Grande, La Tête dans le sac, Souvenirs d’un jeune homme, La Course du rat, and also his famous Tranches de Vie. This exhibition coincides with the publication of the second volume of Lauzier’s complete works by Editions Dargaud.
