Christian CAILLEAUX, Étienne SCHRÉDER Blake et Mortimer - Le cri du Moloch

Presentation

To celebrate the publication of the twenty-seventh album in the Blake & Mortimer series, Le Cri du Moloch, written by Jean Dufaux, Huberty & Breyne's Paris gallery is hosting an exhibition of original drawings by the book's co-illustrators Christian Cailleaux and Étienne Schréder. Three original covers foreground the iconic Colonel Olrik, one of the greats of Franco-Belgian comics, who steals the limelight here from the famous duo. Viewers will also be offered a fascinating insight into each stage in the album's creation, from rough first sketches of the characters through pencil-drawn panels to final inked pages. This exhibition takes us on a journey back in time to 1950s London, a London never more vividly portrayed than in the universe of Edgar P. Jacobs.

Dedication Session: Friday 11 December 2020 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
