Presentation

Huberty & Breyne’s mission is to champion graphic art in all its forms and to promote the work of both established and up-and-coming artists linked to, or inspired by, the 9th art.

In line with this vision, the Huberty & Breyne gallery is delighted to be participating in the latest edition of Drawing Now, the contemporary art fair dedicated to drawing, from 23 to 26 March 2023 at the Carreau du Temple, Paris 3e.

Pat Andrea, Gloria Avril and Aline Zalko are this year’s showcased artists.

Pat Andrea is an internationally acclaimed artist whose hybrid works, characterised by a mixture of violence and eroticism, pay homage to the female sex and feminine beauty.

The gallery is showing a selection of Andrea’s works on paper, in large (150 x 180 cm), medium (60 x 70 cm) and small format (40 x 45 cm).

Gloria Avril is an emerging artist of enormous talent. Her black-and-white works in Indian ink portray a dark, mysterious and troubling universe, and this new series, entitled "Firefly Town", was specially created for the fair.

Our third artist, Aline Zalko, uses a brilliant colour palette while focusing on the themes of adolescence, womanhood and the human body and – in another vein entirely – fires and conflagrations and the hypnotic power of fire. Working with brushes, colour pencils and marker pens, Zalko succeeds in creating a magical world full of lyricism and imaginative originality.

The exhibition sets up a dialogue between these three very different artists who nevertheless share one thing in common – a steadfast faithfulness to form and concept.

Exhibition from Thursday March 23 to Sunday March 26, 2023: from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. (7 p.m. on Sunday)
