Froid Equateur (Cold Equator) is the third part of the Nikopol trilogy and came out in the last quarter of 1992, following La Foire aux Immortels (The Carnival of Immortals), published in 1980, and La Femme piège (The Woman Trap), which appeared in 1986.In an interview conducted in 1994, Bilal commented: ?I?d certainly say that Cold Equator is the most accomplished of my albums.
