Born in Mendoza, in Argentina, in 1943, Juan Giménez needs no introduction: a hugely successful comic book illustrator with a particular flair for science fiction, and the recipient of numerous prizes, Giménez is probably best known for his series La Caste des Métabarons, the product of his collaboration with Alejandro Jodorowsky.

Before achieving worldwide recognition as a comic book author, Giménez followed a more formal career path, training to be an industrial designer and later attending the Academy of Fine Arts in Barcelona. The Huberty & Breyne Gallery is presenting a selection of drawings by this master of science fiction, in addition to a handful of plates, some of them featuring Léo Roa, History's journalist par excellence and the character Giménez is most proud to have created which aims to showcase the fruits of the artist's training and experience, the flowing quality of his lines, the rigour and finesse that Giménez incorporates in his compositions and above all the unerring sense of aestheticism which inhabits his complex universes.
