Store - Exhibition - Perceptions méditerranéennes

Presentation

Michèle Standjofski was born in Beirut in 1960 and is a freelance illustrator whose work has appeared widely in magazines and in advertising, and also in the form of children’s books and graphic novels. Since 1992, the artist has been teaching illustration and bande dessinée at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts in Beirut. Her work has featured in exhibitions in the Mediterranean and beyond – in Angoulême, Beirut, Ravenna, Istanbul, Athens, Sharjah and Aix-en-Provence.

Standjofski’s elegant and multi-faceted oeuvre has touched a chord with us at the Huberty & Breyne Gallery and we are proud to be showing plates from the albums Toutes les mers (2017) and Antonio (2021) – a series of delicious invitations au voyage executed in colour pencil.
