In partnership with Nespresso, National Geographic, a key reference resource in the field of science and exploration, is putting on an exhibition entitled “Beyond the Bean” – the record of a journey into the heart of the coffee plantations of Zimbabwe, Colombia and Indonesia. Photographs by Azerbaijani freelance photographer Rena Effendi, supplemented by articles and numerous testimonies, shine a light on the lives of those shadowy figures – men and women – responsible for producing your cup of Nespresso coffee.
