Talking about his locations – invariably limited to Paris and its suburbs – Tardi told Numa Sadoul that “I think it’s the consequences of the method of location scouting that E.P. Jacobs did for S.O.S. Météores. I’ve always thought that it was far easier to set a story in a place you know, i.e. on the spot, in front of your house, because all you have to do then is lean out of the window to note the shape of a manhole...
