Philippe FRANCQ Largo Winch - Rétrospective
Presentation
Largo Winch needs no introduction. For thirty years and more, the adventures of the orphan, heir to a billionaire’s fortune, have been garnering increasing popularity, Jean Van Hamme’s character – brought to life in 1990 by Philippe Francq’s illustrations – proving a constant source of fascination for readers of both genders. And with good reason, since his numerous adventures, set against a backdrop of financial and geopolitical intrigue, are utterly engrossing and never cease to be relevant.
To mark the publication of Le Centile d’or (Éditions Dupuis), volume 24 in the Largo Winch series, Huberty & Breyne is delighted to be hosting a retrospective exhibition of iconic original plates created by Philippe Francq. Also on display, and offered for sale, will be a selection of character studies, whole-page sketches and colour illustrations for the albums that provide vivid insights into the artist’s meticulous working practices.
