François Schuiten and Alexandre Obolensky are passionate about trains, and everything to do with them, and have been collaborating creatively for the past twenty years. The Huberty & Breyne gallery is hosting an exhibition of new works by these two artists focusing on the universe of the train and the whole mythology of travel. Collaborative works, silkscreen prints and drawings by François Schuiten and paintings by Alexandre Obolensky reveal just how far their shared attraction for railways goes and how it influences their creations. This exhibition ties in with the opening on 25 September 2015 of Train World, a new museum in Brussels dedicated to the world of the Belgium Railroads. The project, largely overseen by François Schuiten, incorporates paintings and décors executed by Obolensky, under Schuiten’s artistic direction, which bring to life the most fantastic ideas.
