Philippe GELUCK Tout l'Art du Chat
Presentation
Just as “Le Chat passe à table” in a nineteenth album published by Editions Casterman, Geluck’s amiable feline escapes the confines of its glossy-paper prison and storms the walls of Huberty & Breyne’s Paris gallery.
From the 16th of October to the 29th of November, Geluck’s wryly comical creation deploys his humour on canvas, where we see the big names in Art revisited by the Master’s brush.
The Cat pays tribute to Pollock, César, Klein, Munch and Mondrian, debunking conventions as a way of making us really think for ourselves.
The exhibition brings together the whole universe of the Cat, displaying paintings in multiple colours and black-and-white drawings alongside video installations and original plates taken from Geluck’s most recent albums.
