Milo MANARA Corriere della sera - Red Light

Alain Huberty and Marc Breyne are honoured to be showing works by Milo Manara in their Brussels Gallery, from 30 November 2018 to 5 January 2019. On show will be two recent and quite dissimilar projects, the first in black and white, the second in colour.
In 2017, the Italian magazine Corriere della Sera decided to dedicate an "Artist Collection" to Milo Manara that would reproduce the entirety of his cartoon work. The 45 new illustrations on show at the Gallery have been produced to serve as covers for the collection.
Using a lithographic crayon and a few strokes of his pen, Manara revisits, reinterprets and synthesises each of the graphic stories he has created during the course of his impressive career. The work is precise, at times erotic, invariably poetic and gorgeously refined.
Also on show - and further demonstrating the artist's incredible talent - are Manara's sexy colour illustrations for the Red Light card game A Star is Porn, published by Freak & chic and Pornhub. Each of the images in this series features a female figure with distinctive qualities — demure or wild, charming or seductive, but always elegant, always confident of her appeal.
