David Solomon's mother lives with him in his apartment on the 23rd floor at 416, Church Avenue, in downtown Manhattan. She has a heart condition, which is why her son hasn't dared to tell her the truth that he is a cop, not a priest ! Launched in the pages of Spirou magazine during the 1980s, SODA became one of the magazine's key figures.

When Bruno Gazzotti replaced Luc Warnant as illustrator partway through volume three, the series, written by Philippe Tome, took off, proving that it is quite possible to create police stories with a genuinely broad appeal. For Bruno Gazzotti, SODA is the series that has enabled him to express the full range of his talents. His wonderfully fluent ink drawings, together with his skilful encapsulation and mises en scène, notably in the action scenes, make Gazzotti's stories an indispensable part of any self-respecting comics collection.

This is the first time the artist has agreed to show a selection of original pages from his albums in the context of a sales exhibition. Gazzotti has also produced a unique series of terrific colour illustrations depicting the iconic SODA specially for the show and Huberty & Breyne Paris is delighted to be able to present these to the public.
