Loustal just loves to travel. From Étretat to Tierra del Fuego, Tierra del Fuego to Mauritius Island... he roams the world, capturing on paper memories and evocations that serve as inspiration for his future works. Fictional landscapes, re-creations, impressions, reminiscences... using a range of media - charcoals, gouache, acrylics, pastels - Loustal communicates a vision of the world that is often humorous and invariably empathetic. The majority of the artist's works will be on display at the Huberty & Breyne Gallery in Brussels from 5 to 26 September 2020 to coincide with the publication of his new book, Aux Antipodes, by Éditions de La table ronde.
