Le Dernier Atlas is a saga of titanic proportions. Writers Gwen de Bonneval and Fabien Vehlmann, designer Fred Blanchard and illustrator Hervé Tanquerelle have together produced a fantastic piece of science fiction, a fictional retelling of the past, in three imposing volumes published by Dupuis in 2019, 2020 and 2021. A criminal gang, international tensions, paranormal phenomena and, most notably, a giant robot in need of repair to counter a global threat... these are just some of the themes awaiting readers in the pages of Le Dernier Atlas. Part of the saga?s enormous appeal lies in the way that it harks back to the early days of classical adventure comics. Le Dernier Atlas has featured on a great many selection lists, is supported by the network of specialist booksellers and was awarded the Prix René Goscinny and the Prix Actusf Graphique at the 16èmes Rencontres de l'Imaginaire de Sèvres. Visitors are invited to come and see an outstanding selection of original plates from the three volumes, together with original illustrations created specially for this exhibition.
