Presentation

From 26 March to 23 April 2022, the Huberty & Breyne's Paris gallery is delighted to be hosting a solo exhibition for comic artist Romain Hugault, showing the original plates from Mig Madness, the new album in Hugault's Angel Wings series.

Romain Hugault (born in 1979) is a French comic book illustrator known for his images of aeroplanes and pin-ups in albums harking back to the 1940s and 1950s.

Soviet Mig-15s and American Grumman F9F Panthers, P2V Neptunes and F7F Tigercats... Mig Madness is the seventh volume in the Angel Wings series (published by Éditions Paquet), and the start of a new cycle, set against the backdrop of the Korean War. Ex-WASP Angela and her companion Rob are back, unwillingly drawn into a strange case of espionage...

Working from a magnificent script by comics writer Yann Le Pennetier (better known as Yann), in Mig Madness Romain Hugault conjures up page after page of breath-taking aerobatics and heart-wrenching human conflict.

Private view: Saturday 26 March, from 5pm to 8pm, in the presence of the artist.

Works available to view online from Sunday 27 March 2022.
