Presentation

Marc Breyne and Alain Huberty cordially invite you to their Paris gallery this summer, to view the collection compiled by Monsieur L. Built around a solid base of original works, most of them drawn from comics albums created in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, the collection showcases a series of very particular aesthetic choices, interpreted in both colour and black and white.  Monsieur L. has assembled a collection of favourite images that tends to prioritise strong pages (Duchazeau, Sorel, Mezzo, Corboz, Loustal, Pedrosa…), covers (Ruppert & Mulot, Merwan, Alary, Jacamon, Lereculey, Augustin, Andreae…), important sequences in comics series that have left their mark on the 9th art and standout illustrations (Blutch, Larcenet, Vicomte, Dubout, Manara…).
In addition, the second exhibition room at our Paris gallery will be devoted to works spanning almost a century in the history of the American strip cartoon (Herriman, Caniff, Segar, Raymond, Buscema, Severin, Gordon Murphy…). This is a fantastic overview! An opportunity to come and admire original plates and illustrations by artists who continue to shape the global landscape of the Comic Strip.
