Presentation
The Huberty & Breyne Gallery is delighted to be involved for the second year running in the 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, which will be held in London from the 3rd to the 6th of October. For this latest edition of the fair, the gallery will be hosting a new solo show by the South African artist Anton Kannemeyer.
The solo show focuses on earlier works by the artist which bring together political, economic and social references and references to Hergé's ligne claire, inviting viewers to reflect on racism, corruption, greed, religion and power imbalances in South Africa.
Anton Kannemeyer's work - paintings, drawings and multiples - is a reflection on societies past, present and future, not only in South Africa but also in Europe and Africa as a whole.
