Presentation

The prestigious collection of Monsieur R., an enlightened comic strip enthusiast, is being offered for sale at an exclusive auction, which is being held simultaneously in Paris and Brussels. The collection, which comprises 120 original drawings, plates and illustrations, showcases the work of some of the greatest exponents of the comic strip in France, including Enki Bilal, Moebius, André Juillard, Jacques de Loustal, Nicolas de Crécy, Yves Chaland, Serge Clerc, Marcel Gotlib, Albert Uderzo and Philippe Druillet, with drawings also by Sempé, François Avril and Albert Dubout.
Among the key pieces in this collection, there are also works by American artists such as Robert Crumb, George Herriman, Milton Caniff, Milton Glaser, Elzie Segar, Charles Schulz and Richard Felton Outcault' and, last but not least, by the great Italians Milo Manara, Hugo Pratt and Lorenzo Mattotti.
