Phantoms, demons and other weird and wonderful creatures have invaded Brussels now that the Huberty & Breyne Gallery is opening its doors to the strange phantasmagorical worlds of visual artist Fabien Verschaere and comic strip creator Andreas.
Face to face, Fabien Verschaere’s monstrous articulated assemblages teeming with life and those slender, precise lines that typify the work of Andreas, creator of Rork, take on a whole new meaning.
A retrospective selection of 150 original plates by Andreas and 80 paintings and black-and-white drawings, recent works by Fabien Verschaere, expose the artists’ inner demons and speak to our darker side, the intriguing world of dreams and phantoms that lies buried inside us all.
