Lot 15: Dave DeVries(born in 1959), Fleer - Ultra Masterpieces Spider-Man, Acrylic on board, Signed et dated 94 bottom left, 11 x 14 in. / 21,8 x 15,5 cm, Fleer Entertainment Group, 1995.

Stunning original painting by Dave DeVries, created for card #4 of the 1995 Fleer Ultra Spider-Man Masterpieces trading card series, published by Marvel / Fleer Skybox.
This striking image features Spider-Man’s intense close-up, illuminated by a fiery red glow and framed by swirling golden web strands — a hallmark of DeVries’ bold, cinematic style. The artwork served as the production original for the printed card, making it a true collector’s piece from one of the most celebrated painted Marvel sets of the 1990s. Originals from this series — by DeVries, Boris Vallejo, Julie Bell, and others — are now among the most sought-after Marvel fine art works on the market.

Lot 18: Will Eisner, The Spirit #56, India ink on Bristol board, 11 x 17 in. / 32,1 x 21,7 cm, Kitchen Sink Press, 1989.

Magnificent original cover artwork by the legendary Will Eisner, created for The Spirit #56 (june 1989). The piece features The Spirit, the iconic masked detective, navigating a shadowy alley as knives slice through the air — a masterclass in tension, perspective, and visual storytelling. Executed in India ink with Eisner’s trademark chiaroscuro, the artwork captures his cinematic sense of drama and movement.
Original covers from The Spirit are exceedingly rare, with most examples held in institutional or private collections worldwide.

Lot 113: Bill Sienkiewicz, Batman - Death of Innocents: the Horror of Landmines, Ink and graphite on Bristol board, 11 x 17 in / 28 x 43 cm, DC Comics, 1996, Signed.

A powerful and emotionally charged original cover illustration for Batman: Death of Innocents – The Horror of landmines (DC Comics, 1996). Drawn by Bill Sienkiewicz (1958–), one of the most influential artists in comic book history, this piece stands among the most poignant and humanistic portrayals of the Dark Knight ever created. The composition depicts Batman carrying the lifeless body of a young girl, a harrowing symbol of the devastation caused by landmines — the core message of this humanitarian one-shot. Sienkiewicz’s masterful linework and restrained expressiveness elevate the piece beyond comic art, giving it the gravitas of fine art with a moral voice.

Lot 139: Bernie Wrightson, Batman,The Cult - Book One: Ordeal, Ink on Bristol board, 11 x 17 in. / 45,6 x 29,9 cm, DC Comics, 1988.

Stunning original splash page from Batman: The Cult – Book One: Ordeal (DC Comics, 1988), written by Jim Starlin and illustrated by Bernie Wrightson (1948–2017), one of the true masters of gothic comic art. The composition captures a towering, almost spiritual apparition rising before Batman — a perfect blend of Wrightson’s atmospheric lighting, textured brushwork, and sense of dread. This scene epitomizes The Cult’s dark psychological tone, where faith, manipulation, and madness intertwine within Gotham’s shadows. Interior pages from this landmark series are extremely rare on the market, especially examples with such dramatic composition
